Update: Mensa GY Parents Facebook Group
At my recent GY parents Zoom meeting, there was a lot of interest in a Facebook group for GY parents to connect with one another. Unfortunately, since I’m not your local GYC, I can’t create the group. However Mensa Bright Kids is run by American Mensa for GY parents (Mensan and non-Mensan) and you can join it here: facebook.com/groups/MensaBrightKids/
Become a Parent Volunteer
As I’m not in your local area, I’m not physically able to host in-person events. However, Mensa allows Mensan and non-Mensan parents to volunteer as Parent Volunteers for their local group so that the group may better serve their gifted youth. This is not an officer position and has no title associated with it. Additionally, parent volunteers serve with the understanding that they assist the elected and appointed officers by hosting and organizing events for the gifted youth in their group.
Requirements: Must be a parent of a gifted youth under the age of 18 and a background check is approved by the National Office.
Hope to see you at our July event!
