Parent and Member Volunteers
GY Program adult volunteers have all been background checked and approved by American Mensa and the Gifted Youth Committee. In addition to the Local and Regional Gifted Youth Coordinators, Mensa allows Mensan and non-Mensan parents to volunteer as Parent and Member volunteers for their local group so that the group may better serve their gifted youth. They are not officer positions and have no title associated with it. Additionally, parent and member volunteers serve with the understanding that they assist the elected and appointed officers by hosting and organizing events for the gifted youth in their group. Nicole Peartree
Nicole Peartree is a mother of a Mensa youth. When she’s not traveling to enrich her son’s education, she’s home on the Monterey Peninsula enjoying the cooler weather and wild natural surroundings. With a background in education, and a passion for building community, she is devoted to helping create opportunities for gifted youth and their families to engage and connect. Nicole understands the unique path of gifted youth and is eager to assist in growing the youth program locally and nationally in support of Mensa youth and their families.
