Frequently Asked Questions
How can my child meet other gifted youth Mensans in my area?
I encourage you to reach out to your group’s Local Secretary (President) to plan family-friendly events. Ideas include movie days/nights, book clubs, game parties, holiday parties, picnics, museum visits, etc.
Can I host events for gifted youth for my local group?
Per the Gifted Youth Events Guidelines, every scheduled Gifted Youth Program event should have at least two adults, unrelated to each other, present, with at least one being a Mensa member or parent-volunteer who has completed a Mensa background check and has been approved by Mensa to supervise youth events.
Learn more about becoming a parent-volunteer here.
How can I connect with other parents of GY?
I host virtual events for GY parents and guardians and announce them in my GY email newsletters.
